OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Ashlyn was born and raised on Curyung lands in Dillingham, Alaska. She graduated from Mt. Edgecumbe High School and went on to get her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Human Services with a minor in Native American Indigenous Studies at Fort Lewis College. Ashlyn was introduced to the Environmental and Social Justice realm through an internship with United Tribes of Bristol Bay. There she witnessed and was inspired by strong and passionate voices fighting to protect Bristol Bay’s waters, land, salmon, and people from the proposed Pebble Mine. Ashlyn is excited to support AKPIRG’s team and mission through her role as the Operations Specialist. She currently lives and works on Dena’ina lands in Anchorage and enjoys snowboarding, skin sewing, and beading in the winter and camping adventures with her friends in the summer.
