BOARD SECRETARY

Ron Meehan currently serves as the Policy and Advocacy Manager for the Food Bank of Alaska and President of the Northeast Community Council. He is always looking for ways to improve his community through public engagement and activism and has previously worked on over a dozen local, state, and federal campaigns in Alaska and Connecticut. He is the Finance Chair and Vice Chair of the Climate Caucus for the Alaska Democratic Party. Ron was born in Anchorage and raised in Soldotna, and enjoys hiking, volunteering, playing piano, and attending community events. He earned a BA from Wesleyan University in Government and Environmental Studies. He is excited about AKPIRG’s crucial work to uphold consumer protection, advance a more equitable energy system, and promote government transparency and accountability.
